Don Lee

Don is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an expert in change. He utilizes positive, solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapies to help clients find relief and resolve problems effectively, based on his motto to “help people change, one thought at a time.”

Don’s focused approach to therapy can be tailored to a variety of clients. For adults and couples, communication skills and emotional management are key. For children and adolescents, teaching adaptive, pro-social skills is a primary goal. Don has also worked with families affected by domestic violence and with adolescents in the courts, bringing a solid understanding of family systems for more lasting change.

For all his clients, Don provides the needed support to develop tools and set life goals, enhancing self-confidence and self-efficacy. His philosophy is that you can learn to change disempowering beliefs and become responsible for your own thoughts, feelings and actions. This is a benchmark of sound mental and emotional health.

Don also specializes in anger management. He currently leads anger management groups in various locations, making his extensive practical knowledge available to a wider audience in a group format. On anger management, Don asserts: “Anger happens. But it doesn't have to ruin our relationships, our sense of self, or our health. You can learn how to manage your emotions. You can be responsible for your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You can get more of what you want out of life, and less of what you don’t!”
